Cryolipolysis

Non-Surgical Fat Reduction

Cryolipolyse offers a cutting-edge treatment that permanently removes stubborn fat deposits using cold, all without surgery. The procedure is largely pain-free and safe, making it a popular option for those looking to contour their body without invasive methods.

Each session can lead to a significant reduction in fat, with up to 30% of fat in the treated area reduced. Depending on your personal goals, between one and three treatments per zone may be required. Noticeable results are often visible as early as 4 to 6 weeks after the first treatment.

Cryolipolysis works by cooling fat cells to a temperature that triggers apoptosis, or cell death. The dead fat cells release messenger substances that activate the body’s natural inflammatory response. Over the next few weeks and months, these cells gradually broken down, and the lipoids are processed by the lymphatic system. This gradual breakdown ensures that no harmful changes occur in blood lipid levels or liver function.

Since fat decomposes slowly, there is no danger of sudden changes in your blood profile. However, to maximize results and reduce any potential side effects, anti-inflammatory medications like Voltaren or ibuprofen should be avoided for about four weeks post-treatment.

At the beginning of the procedure, the vacuum used to pull the skin and fat into the cooling device may feel slightly uncomfortable, but this sensation typically subsides within a few minutes. After the session, you may experience mild soreness, similar to muscle soreness, particularly when the treated areas are touched.
Before Treatment:

  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your session.
  • Drink plenty of water to help your lymphatic system function optimally during the fat elimination process.
  • If you are taking medications such as blood thinners, consult with your aesthetician, as they may impact your suitability for the procedure.

After Treatment:

  • Continue to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated to aid fat cell removal.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen or Voltaren for at least four weeks after the treatment, as they can interfere with the body’s natural fat breakdown process.
  • Light exercise and maintaining a healthy diet will help boost the results of the treatment.
Cryolipolysis is most effective for localized fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is not a treatment for massive weight loss but is ideal for contouring specific areas of the body. Common areas include:

  • Abdomen
  • Love handles (flanks)
  • Thighs (inner and outer)
  • Back fat
  • Upper arms
  • Double chin
  • Breasts: Cryolipolysis is not suitable for breast reduction in women. For more information, please consult with your aesthetician.
  • Not for Weight Loss: This procedure is not designed for large-scale weight loss but works best for tightening and toning problem areas that cannot be targeted with exercise and diet alone.

  • Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: Cryolipolysis is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Cold-Related Conditions: Individuals with cold-related conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, cold urticaria, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria should avoid this treatment.
  • Severe Skin Conditions: If you have eczema, dermatitis, or other skin conditions in the treatment area, you should wait until the skin is fully healed before undergoing Cryolipolysis.
  • Open Wounds or Infections: The presence of open sores, wounds, or skin infections in the treatment area makes the procedure unsuitable until fully healed.
  • Recent Surgery or Scar Tissue: If you have had recent surgery or have significant scar tissue in the treatment area, consult with your doctor before proceeding.
  • Severe Raynaud’s Disease: Individuals with severe Raynaud’s disease, which affects blood circulation in response to cold, should not undergo Cryolipolysis.
  • Hernias in the Treatment Area: Those with hernias, especially abdominal hernias, should avoid Cryolipolysis in those areas.
  • Nerve Disorders: If you have any peripheral nerve disorders such as diabetic neuropathy, Cryolipolysis may not be suitable.
  • Uncontrolled Diabetes or Severe Circulatory Disorders: Individuals with uncontrolled diabetes or circulatory problems should seek medical advice before undergoing the procedure.
  • Implants or Devices: People with implanted medical devices such as pacemakers or defibrillators should avoid the procedure.
