Micro-Needling

A Long-Term Solution for Radiant, Healthy Skin

Micro-needling is a highly effective and minimally invasive treatment designed to address a wide range of skin concerns, including acne, scars, wrinkles, crow’s feet, pigmentation disorders, and skin discoloration. By stimulating the skin’s natural healing process, micro-needling encourages collagen production and cell regeneration, providing long-term improvements in skin texture and tone.

Micro-needling involves the use of a specialized device equipped with tiny, fine needles. As the device is passed over the skin, it creates controlled micro-injuries in the top layers. These tiny punctures trigger the body’s natural healing response, promoting the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid—all of which are essential for maintaining youthful, firm, and healthy skin.

This process not only boosts skin regeneration and improves circulation but also enhances the absorption of active ingredients tailored to your skin’s specific needs, ensuring that the skin heals more effectively. The result is smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin over time.

  • Wrinkles and fine lines

  • Stretch marks
  • Enlarged pores
  • Pigmentation disorders

Whether you’re looking to minimize fine lines or reduce acne scars, micro-needling is a proven, long-term solution for visibly improved skin.

Before and After Care for Micro-Needling

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from direct sun exposure for at least 3-5 days before your session to reduce skin sensitivity and prevent irritation.
  • No Harsh Products: Avoid using retinoids, exfoliants, and any harsh skincare products for about 5 days before treatment to prevent irritation during the procedure.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and in optimal condition for the treatment.
  • Avoid Blood Thinners: If you are taking any blood thinners or anti-inflammatory medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen), consult your aesthetician, as these may increase the risk of bruising.
  • Moisturize: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to soothe and hydrate the skin after the treatment.
  • Sun Protection: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily, as your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays after the procedure. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least one week.
  • Avoid Makeup and Heavy Products: Refrain from applying makeup, retinoids, or harsh skincare products for 24-48 hours post-treatment to allow your skin to heal properly.
  • No Exfoliants or Peels: Avoid using exfoliants or chemical peels for at least one week after your session, as your skin needs time to recover.
  • Hydrate: Continue to drink plenty of water to promote skin healing and hydration.
  • Avoid Heat and Sweat: Steer clear of hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise that may cause sweating for 48 hours after the procedure to reduce irritation and inflammation.

Contraindications for Micro-Needling

While micro-needling is a safe and effective procedure for most individuals, certain conditions may prevent you from undergoing the treatment. Please consult with your aesthetician if any of the following apply to you.

At our studios, Micro-Needling is performed by highly trained experts who ensure the treatment is both safe and effective. Whether you’re aiming to reduce scars, wrinkles, or pigmentation, micro-needling provides a personalized, long-term solution for healthier, younger-looking skin.

  • Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: While generally safe, it’s best to avoid micro-needling during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Active Skin Infections: If you have any active skin infections, open wounds, or cold sores in the treatment area, wait until your skin has fully healed before proceeding.
  • Severe Acne or Rosacea: Individuals with severe, inflamed acne, eczema, or rosacea should consult with a dermatologist before undergoing micro-needling, as it may exacerbate these conditions.
  • Recent Laser Treatments or Peels: If you’ve had any recent laser treatments, chemical peels, or other invasive skin procedures, allow at least two weeks of recovery time before scheduling micro-needling.
  • Blood Disorders or Medications: If you are taking blood-thinning medications or have a bleeding disorder, micro-needling may not be suitable for you.
  • Keloid Scarring History: If you are prone to keloid scarring, micro-needling may not be recommended, as it can potentially worsen scar formation.
